I want to capture the people and the places that hold significance to me. I did this through simply taking studio photos, landscape photos, simply going to the locations with my subjects, as well as double exposure. In Photos 1, 2, and 3 I photographed two of my closest friends against the three different colored backgrounds in the studio. I blended them with the same image of the dorm where we all met our freshman year of high school. I did this to not only find another way to capture important people and places through editing, but also to test what the different colored backgrounds would change. For image 4, I brought my sister to the beach where we grew up and I focussed on capturing a photo with the subject and the background simultaneously. Image 14, I used two different photos, but instead of using photoshop I used the app Snapseed to blend them. These were all techniques used to, in different ways, show the people and places that have significance to me and each other.
