At the start of this year, I want to capture the liveliness of wild animals. It was a continuation of my signature assignment work last year during Advance Photo. During the process, I realized that my interest lies in all nature and all living things rather than simply animals, including landscape photography and humans.
I started experimenting with the usage of drones. The drones provided me with a new perspective for my question. I rely heavily on the editing process, including using it for double exposure to combine photos and to manipulate the center focus of images. For instance, I use a masking tool in Lightroom to bring out my main subjects or the leading lines that I want the audience to focus on. SI 8 presents my process of editing through masking in detailed captions of my choices in different sections of photo. In SI 11, I first attempted to edit the color of my subject’s jacket to the color red, but the final result was not as compelling as I wanted it to be. Hence I redone my editing and changed it into black and white, which resulted better. In SI 9, I experimented with Bird's Eye view, and I was able to bring out the footprint patterns in the snow through a unique way. Lastly, in SI 13 & 14, I further experienced with altering color of photos through gradient map to further express the theme.
