 How to take photos with bad lighting

What you will need:

  • Camera

  • Any movable lamps (table lamps, desk lamps, floor lamps, even a flashlight/your phone flashlight)

Steps

  1. Find your location to take photos of, don’t worry about poor lighting.

  2. Try taking photos, if it’s too dark you can try adjusting settings. If the settings get to be to slow a shutter speed or to high an ISO, move onto step two.

  3. Find any simple lighting that is movable around your house/location. If it does not belong to you, ask if you can borrow the lights.

  4. Set up the lights outside of the frame.

  5. If you have more than one light source, try and put them in different places so the light doesn’t create strong shadows.

  6. Lower your ISO and change your settings, start taking photos.

  7. Adjust the lighting as needed.
