How can I find the beauty of color in nature and transitioning seasons? Even throughout my childhood, I have appreciated the natural beauty of color within nature, especially in the different forms of trees and plants. And I have also always loved photographing the sunset or sunrise because of the unique reflection and color each one has. I worked to take images to show the color differences throughout the different seasons/times of the year or even the day.

I practiced for various parts of my portfolio by taking photos to portray my views on nature such as works #1 and #2. I experimented with different editing techniques including masking to highlight work #3. I also explored how reflection can portray the different colors in each image. I choose to make a 3D time-lapse collage on a paper mache lantern as the culmination of my journey. This allows viewers to view my work in a unique way, allowing them to look from any angle at the lantern with the tea light I placed inside to illuminate the images.
