For my sustained investigation, I focused on the questions "How can I depict the effect and impact that social media and beauty standards have on people, their emotions, and their perception of themselves? How can I depict the struggles that people face due to unrealistic beauty standards and negative influence from social media? How can I show a fear of growing up in today's world with the problems faced due to unrealistic expectations from society" I wanted to focus on this because social media and it's negative aspects as well as beauty standards have had a huge impact on my mental health.
I used multiple different questions for my sustained investigation and my work shows that through the different ways I demonstrated my thought process and executed my ideas. I used photoshop and heavily contrasted images with black and white and color, and also used photoshop to use text over images. Some pictures told stories with words, while others could be seen through the images themselves.
